Les transports repr\u00e9sentent 25\u00a0% des \u00e9missions de gaz \u00e0 effet de serre (GES) au pays, dont pr\u00e8s de la moiti\u00e9 proviennent des v\u00e9hicules automobiles l\u00e9gers et des camions. Les mandats actuels limiteront la vente de v\u00e9hicules l\u00e9gers neufs \u00e0 partir de 2035 en faveur des v\u00e9hicules purement \u00e9lectriques (\u00e9galement appel\u00e9s v\u00e9hicules \u00e9lectriques \u00e0 batterie, ou VEB). Aussi, les consommatrices et les consommateurs peuvent acheter un VE gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des incitatifs non n\u00e9gligeables, y compris des rabais provinciaux et f\u00e9d\u00e9raux. L\u2019augmentation des ventes de VE se traduira par une longue p\u00e9riode de croissance pour les fabricants de batteries.
